sorry i missed you

Michael Coonrod doesn’t want to do a hit-and-run. Because like, that would be awful, you know? But like, in hindsight, maybe he should have, because everything would have been a lot easier for everyone if he did. Set in 1980s Michigan and told almost entirely through answering machine messages, Sorry I Missed You is a play where no one talks to each other. Also, there’s a cat.

Sorry I Missed You is a play about missed connections, new connections, and coming of age in a time when it’s very easy to feel isolated. It can be performed with either live or pre-recorded audio. dedicated to the person with a phone number one digit off from yours and to every message that never reaches them.
